This is a cheesy rave intro we made exclusively for the Straftanz show at Resistanz 2022. It is about the feeling of anticipation that there is Resistanz again, that about meeting again after 7 years. It is unmastered, raw and of limited sound quality, exactly the thing people heard at the gig.

The voice you hear belongs to Van Diamant, the many eyed. I wanted a really cheesy rave intro, because Resistanz gives me feels. Good ones. The only way to reflect on these is cheese, so here it is. It is zero cool and genuine. We met Van on a Zoom session during lockdown and when I heard her speak I somehow knew I want her to say something really cheesy like this some day. So this is the track.

We were the rivetheads. Industrial streetfighters. Cybergothic dancefloor gods. Party-animals and hotel-room-crowdsurfers. But nothing is forever.

The tides of time plunged us into silence. Isolation washed over us wave by wave. Our precious lives rinsed away in the doomscroll waterfall of events. Everything flows. Nothing is forever.

In the face of adversity the response is Resistanz. We fix our eyes on the horizon, waiting for the night so we can replace the dark times with neon black. We do not live in the rear view mirror. We enjoy the trip, the burning bridges behind us lighting the road ahead. We stopped asking who we are. Important is what we do. We're not reliving the glory days, but strive for glory right here, right now.

We do not depend on anything to entertain us. We are the music, the atmosphere, the experience. We increase our happiness by spreading happiness among others. Every day we strive to be legendary and tonight we swear to escalate everything.
